Are there any SAK's that don't use rivets?

Does victorinox (or wenger) have any models with a screwed together construction rather than pinned together? I'm looking for an SAK that can be disassembled, and AFAIK, the pinned together ones are not disassembleable.

To my knowledge, all SAKs from both manufacturers are riveted together. As you go through the various forums that discuss SAKs you will find that a lot of modders do use some type of threaded connector for assembly. I agree, it would make things easier for modification. There have been links posted on where the various hardware for knife making/modifying can be purchased as well. I'm not on a device with all that bookmarked right now. Hopefully somebody will chime in with a bit more detailed info.

For my mods I use 1/8 pivots and torx screws that I buy from knifekits.com. It does make maintenance much easier when you get the inside all dirty.

Just curious -- why?
Multiple reasons. Firstly, I'd like to be able to get the inside cleaned out (you know how SAKs get after a few months use), and second, I want to remove the blade/ tools so I can stonewash them. I hate the look of scratches on my knife, so my usual remedy is to just throw a stonewash on 'em.

Would that work on alox scales? I have heard of techniques for removing the rivets on plastic scaled models, but I'm not sure they would work on alox, given that they involve prying.

Yes almost all of the mods I do are to alox scales. Removing the rivets is a bit of effort. I use center drills to remove most of the inner metal of the rivet, then a jewelers burr to cut the rivet from the inside. The two halves of the rivet will then slide apart leaving the scale undamaged.

hi I´m in Europe and see shipping cost from knifekits.com is $35 for 6 1/8 pivots :-((
Is there any place to get them with lower shipping cost?
Thanks
