Are there any spine-shot comparison pics of the Reg and Magnums TAC handles?

Thanks for the offer but I already have those models in Regular and Magnum handles. I really want to see the TACS in each version if possible.

You are correct, sir. :thumbup: And I believe that Jerry said ALL tiger hides were mags. If so, I've got a SJT-V with tiger hide.... and a Mole Jack... give me a minute...




I'm not sure I'm seeing a difference with these two. Mic...

OK - I mic'ed mine... Each slab is 0.266" Mine are the same, so I guess I don't have magnum grips on a Tac handle... Next?

They might have had tiger stripe but Im still not sure if they were mag. If they were I like to see a spine shot.

Since i mic'ed the grips slabs at exactly the same the same thickness, .266", I'm pretty sure these aren't any thicker than normal tac grips.

Definitely tiger hide, though.

Yeah I'm pretty certian that the BAT is the first offering of Magnum TAC handles. I wish they would post some comparison spine shots so we can see the difference before ordering. I can only order one so I really want to get the right one.

you should order the le. if you like the mags on other blades, you will probably like this one.

and if you dont, it will be easier to trade the le for a cg + $$ than the other way around.
 
Somewhere I read Jerry say that the tac mags are 1/8 to 3/16's wider than the standard. Almost everyone I seem to read that doesn't like the tac handle mention the thinness of them. I think the mags will be the best 25.00 that you can spend.(or 35, I forget) The tac handle is the reason I hope the tank buster is not next. Let the tac handle die. That being said, I still ordered a couple of the new badgers, how can anyone resist a badger?
 
The tac handle is a lot like the GW and SRKW Mischief grip. I think they're kinda... well... ugly. HOWEVER, they seem to be designed for use not aesthetics and they feel great. I will say that the tac grips, for me, are appropriate for slicer/cutters but not choppers.

And that is the beauty of the system. Think about it. Jerry's current production designs run thusly:

EDC<TAC<SF<Fusion

EDC is designed for general small knife tasks. TAC is perfect for medium sized utility. The SJT is about as large as you want to get with that style. Anything bigger gets the SF grips for fighter style blades and the choppers get Fusions. Boss Hog is a genius.

Rick - still prefer the ropes to the tacs
