Are these Emerson's prices worht it.

I don't know to much about folders but I do Like emerson folders evertime I picked one up I likes how it felt.
I have a chance to get the following emerson knifes and if you could let me know if it's a good deal.

I can tell you I have read enough bad reviews of Botach to never consider buying from them.

Do a search of the good the bad and the ugly forum and decide from there, is my suggestion.

I have mixed feelings about Emersons, but if you've handled them and have ALSO handled Spydercos, Benchmades, Kershaws, and a few other good brands and are still impressed with the look and feel of Emerson, I'd say "go for it!"

Many of us, including myself, choose others over Emerson because of look, feel and quality, but Emerson DOES have a good following and they are a tough knife that will serve you well, especially for hard work.

But, if Emerson is the only "good" knife you've checked out, I do think, especially if you only have money for one knife, that you should handle and check out a few more brands before you decide.

if these prices are from botach, i can tell you i never buy from them unless i walk into their warehouse and handle the item (they are in la and let cops walk in). i would never buy over the net. and i have seen them sell factory second/refurbished emersons.
 
botach has similar thumbs down ratings on a couple gun boards I frequent, although I have no experience with them
 
I just checked out their location on an L.A. map. I wouldn't drive down there unless I had an armored vehicle.:thumbdn:
 
Those are some good but not great prices on the emersons. Those are the same prices as a year ago. I hope they go on clearance. Botach if you want to move them out, just put them on clearance at a lower price.

Makes me even more wary of them. If someone will stoop to the dumbest type of spamming, you have to wonder about them.

I bought , or thought I bought a Raven knife from botach. I saw the knife on their website and ASSUMED that they had one to purchase and ship. I waited for three weeks and I finally called the company and, after leaving a dozen or so messages, I was able to get ahold of a customer service rep who told me that "as soon as we get one in stock, I'll ship it out to you." I asked them how long it would take, and she didn't know. I demanded a refund, which I got immediately. If you want to take a chance, go ahead, but I'd go elsewhere. :barf: :jerkit:
 
I have never had a problem with BOTACH. I always just call ahead to make sure they have what I want in stock. If they don't I go elsewhere. Some of there prices are excellant and some aren't. Look around but always call them first to see if they have what you want in stock. keepem sharp
 
i also have not had any probs with botac, always called first, have heard though they will lie to you over the phone about items being in stock FWIW, i would stay away those prices really arent so great , & none of the knives listed are particularly desirable anyway imho.
 
ive seen how botach is run from the inside. so i will just say i never buy on line from them. i will only go there and buy what i can see and handle.
 
also, IIRC, several months ago a guy was looking for a PUK and found one on the botac website and they ended up not having it anyway, i wouldnt have remembered but not many are looking for a PUK. IIRC lol.
