Partial tangs aren’t necessarily dealbreakers for me. I just need to know so that I can assign the appropriate level of backyard cutting mischief (while still observing knife safety of course).

The Counter Point is a folder...did you mean the Counter Tac?

I personally own Recon Tanto, and Drop Forged Hunter, amazing knives.

Drop Forged Hunter is all made out of single piece of steel, handle isn't too wide making it a great EDC choice (I use mine as EDC), I really love that knife.

I would technically term them hidden through tang/near through tang.

When I hear full tang, in my mind it means the tang is exposed all the way arround the grip.

As said the drop forged series are like full tang PLUS. Very large full tang, much more meat in them than even a scaled full tang knife.

The tang on the Recon Tanto, SRK,Counterpoint series is a hidden tang that extends all the way to the rivet/lanyard hole.

The steel tiger is one I don't know, for sure.

I have a Kobun from quite a few years ago (nearly 20? That is still going strong).

Holy schmokes. Good to know CS knives can go for the long haul.
