Are these for non knife knuts?

Some serious marketing is going on here. Does anyone buy a knife that is designated "high performance steel"? Or do you need a bit more details? I'm going to assume that the machining will be good from this company, though.
There's a few threads about this. Run a search of the General forum for posts containing larue

Reads like most advertisements for “tactical” or “fighting” knives to me. They aren’t selling the knife- they’re selling the idea of the knife, to people who will likely never use it in that capacity. Perhaps in any capacity. The knife steel is inconsequential.

I'll add...

In my humble opinion, they're selling that to guys who may or may not be "knife" guys but are absolutely "Larue" guys. I reckon that it kinda' gives those guys the opportunity to own the "full package", so to speak. I remember seeing the "Battle Knife" one night, when I was mulling around their site. As their description for the IMPERVIS states, I bet they've had a pretty good demand for a re-release.

For me, it's always good to see American companies having more issues with "demand" than "supply". Your mileage may vary.

Just seems like a buncha long winded verbiage to me. Will advertise a “skull crusher” but not country of origin. Just because you own a cnc shop, it doesn’t mean you make everything in house. Maybe I missed the statement

Larue has joined Harley, Jeep, and Yeti as a Lifestyle Brand.
Don't forget the toyota people, they're hard-core about it.
