Are these little one's "real" Bucks?

I have a couple of little guys that I've been wondering about. They have a Buck/Anvil stamp on the tang, but nothing else. Can anyone clue me in as to if they are real/fake and if real, who were they made for? I'm showing them with a 501 to give them some scale. Also pictured is one of the boxes they came in.

i see a different shape of blade kick and lock bar. But i've never seen those.

You're right. I should have shown them with a newer 501. I have the 2002/100 Years 501 and the blade is like the blue handled ones. Buck must have changed the design of the blades somewhere along the line.

yes i dont know much on the but they are good sellers on ebay
bring more then i bid!

Nice looking knives, appear to be a 521 variation

Here's one with a couple of 521's (although both have blades marked 501). The 521's are nearly 1/16" narrower from the spring side to the blade side than the blue one and almost that much thinner side to side. Other than the tang marks, the blades appear to be the same.

OOPS, I just noticed that the nail nick is different.

I will run this around internally next week. I am feeling suspicious but sometimes things do get out I never saw...that stamp seems odd to me as we used the anvil as our 2002 date code where it should be positioned as the Idaho state outline as the 2005 date code.

I will get some expert eyes on it.

 That would be terrific CJ, I'm sure there are others who would like the real story on them. I've seen them with the Marines and Coast Guard medallion as well as the Flag and Air Force. I know that at least one other forumite has one, but I don't remember who.

I just discovered that there is a "USA" stamp on the tang. It's only visible when the blade is being closed. It appears that the pivot point for the blade is further back in the handle than on the 501's and 521's and the third line is covered when the blade is open.

I'm really hoping that they are the real deal. They are pretty cool little knives.
