Hi Bruce,

New camera or setup? They are clear, but need more exposure--either through aperature, shutter or actual lighting. Very diffused so the textures are hard to read, but this is a great start.

Are they better? Much. Keep at it.

Thanks everybody...

Coop,Both, the new camera I called and told you I got and a new light box and lights.I couldnt find the light you suggested here in town and I also couldnt find the ones you suggested on your thread about the light box so I have 3 75 watt reveal bulbs,I have sense found 75 watt (or equivelent to 75 watt, only they are less) flourecent socket bulbs if they would be better...

David, the center picture is sitting on a white background.

Thanks again,
Bruce

They're infinitely better but as Coop mentions are underexposed. At least the quality comes clearly across - good work!

Nothing wrong with these photos that a few minutes in Photoshop couldn't help.

Nice improvement. There is that textured sheath!

Thanks Phil...I am still trying to figure the camera out.I never have spent enough time figuring out how to use the photo shop tools....I guess that one of these days I will have to break down and get Coop to do the pictures for me...

Yep Coop I textured the sheath with the same technique as the ivory handle...I was having trouble getting that to show up also.I am having trouble getting the carving to show on this little Buffalo handled knife also.I will just keep on trying.

TIP: texture and shapes show best without direct overhead lighting. Come in on an angle, but use a lot of light. Especially on that dark sheath. Shooting a dark object on a white background is a fundamental hardship.

There is a good reason all those dark tacticals are surrounded by camo and stuff. Find some middle ground.
