Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. A favor to me. Not much of a favor, it seems. Btw, it was meant to be SEM but got optical. Here is the rest of it.

The images are useful at the lower magnification since you can see the broad carbide structure. At high mag the large carbides are out of focus from the deep etching.

So it seems like the best thing to do, if I want it right, to get a metallurgical microscope and learn the skill. Thanks man.
