Are these stones original?

If they were $40. I would be a little more worried. He has good feedback. Did you price these elsewhere?

I would not mind to buy the stones from chefs knifes to go but Im from Czech Republic so it would be more complicated.. All the same stones from chefs knifes to go are $304 total so it is kinda strange. Maybe its cheaper because its sold as a set..? :)

Lots of counterfeits on Ebay, even from people with good reviews. It is actually better to just pay a bit more to ensure your getting the real deal from a trusted supplier than to get a fake no matter how good that fake is. If you look at the Spyderco subforum there is a thread listing a bunch of fakes, and that is a real eye opener with how close they are getting in attention to detail. Even I couldn't spot quite a few of those fakes. Faking a waterstone where there is less need to pay attention to specific small details I imagine be easier, and well you know what they say "If it is too good to be true it probably is."

And just a heads up were not allowed to post ongoing auctions/sales from ebay, but can post completed/expired ones. And are only allowed to post links for places that sale items from the list of people who are our paid dealers members. It's part of what keeps this site going, no point in arguing with it but here is the link. It's what they refer to as deal spotting.

It could be real because you can get a set(listed grit) of full size shapton pro retail for ~$475. With careful cutting, can yield up to 9 EP pieces per stone. Even for a poor material sourcing $480 (+$5 for an aluminum bar) investment, added a little of work, getting $700-1300 tax free profit isn't bad. With a volume purchase directly from mfg, each set of full size stone (or even larger format) should cost less than $200. Whose are target consumers for this EP stone set anyway? Sharpening knuts, right. It would be silly to ruin a long term profit making machine by selling fake stones. Well, it's your $, so be wise.

Pan Marblo, I am sure that this seller is trusty.
He sell sharpening stones long time in the russian knife forum.
