?? Too bad they don't come in my size (14).

Thanks for the site, but they seem to stop at 13 for sizes. Where do guys with 15, 16...20 size feet get their fins? I guess some of them don't need the fins when you think about it, but it's a nice feel when you swim.

Is there like a big and tall store for scuba? I am neither big nor tall (6'3", 171lbs), but feet are a little bigger than average.

P.S. found these, bigger blade would be better.

:D

I know this wouldn't be ideal, but maybe you could get a longer strap for an open heal fin. I'm not sure if they make replacement straps that are bigger, but it might be worth a shot.

I would visit a couple local dive shops and try some 13s on. Some fins have a pretty liberal fit because they are often designed to go over booties. [This is especially true of the strap-back models, as opposed to the boot-foot models.] If you use a thin booty rather than a typical 5+mm, you may be able to fit into some of the 13s.

Good luck!

Long blade free dive fins in those sizes do not exist. Even the "heel strap" styles are a marketing afterthought.

I still have two pair of long bladed free dive fins, Beauchat and SporaSub. A friend gave me a set of Force Fins and I have since bought three pairs (off of eBay). I gave away to a DM another pair of my long blades on my April trip to Roatan as a gift.

Force fins work (for SCUBA, anyway), take it from someone who has used both.

The military uses these (in XXXL, I have a pair- you want them? I could put them up on eBay for $95) while wearing combat boots: http://www.forcefin.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=XCTD

Here's the sizing chart: http://www.forcefin.com/FF_PAGES/sizing.htm

These will fit an elephant. http://www.forcefin.com/Merchant2/m...uct_Code=FFA&Category_Code=51&Product_Count=4

There's a pair of those on at eBay right now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=180373134025 Rarely seen there.

I keep reading that a bootie is a must.
What happens if no bootie is used, i.e. on bare feet? I had fixed size (no strap) Mares fins as a kid, and never had any problems.

diving with no booties can give you anything from sore feet to blisters, but the best reason to dive open heels with booties is to protect your feet from anything sharp, which can be a real problem with shore entries.

I have used both full-foot and strap fins without booties in tropical water, when diving from a boat. If you go this route, practice with the fins in a pool so that your bare feet get used to them. You don't want to develop blisters on an expensive dive trip. You can also get a little non-bulky abrasion protection from thin men's nylon dress socks.

Shore diving without booties under strap-back fins is a little more problematic, unless you are diving off a soft sandy beach. Easy to get heal injuries on rocks.
