I,m not talking about world hunger or learning to tolerate ourselves . I,m referring to the elimination or at least minimising the use of the internal combustion engine . It seems to me that things are hotting up ! An exponential effect caused by free enterprises grasp of the reality they better get on the band wagon before their ship sails . (That is proabably the worst mixed metaphor since time began )
From those personal two wheel gyro scooters to multi-wheeled speed ships the electric motor is coming of age . About time I say cause its going to be a thing of the past soon enough .

Just eliminating the brakes on motors is a great thing . It proabably reduces consumption by at least ten percent directly and more than that in spin off applications . There will be a telling effect in the automotive industry Big business does tend to slough off workers it no longer needs in situations like this
Lighter frames and simpler construction will lead to a drop in employment .
I just hope the elimination of the near embargo on electric vehicles will lead to other innovations to employ us . We are learning to harness different forms of energy and realising ways to better use that which we have .
Who knows maybe even nuclear power will go the way of the dinosaurs though I hear they want to bring those things back ! (Personally when I hear they want to bring old T-Rex back I start flexing my bow muscles ! )

Ms Hollowdweller and I were at a speech given by her pal Howie;) and he said that the next big economic expansion in the US like we saw generated by the internet would be thru the development and use of alternative fuels, energy, and conservation measures. That that would be the next thing to "fuel" the economy. I hope so.

Here's a picture of Ms Hd and Howie.

Sounds great, Kevin, but no alcohol for 30+ years for me "one day at a time".
I can just picture you, me, Dave, Mr. & Mrs Hollowdweler and Ol' Carter sittin' 'round the fire and lieing about the size of the branches we'd cleaved while an iron skillet sizzles venison steaks to go with the buried potatos baking in foil. A cool breeze waifs the smell of pine as the stars replace the oranges and reds of sunset while in the distance we hear a howl.
"So then I took my 30" AK", we hear someone say, "And I caught that manzinola right in the crotch with a left-to-right upward swing that just......"

REPLY : I just ate a Gyro that coulda been worse I suppose and you are talking about sizzling venison ! It does sound great though . The only problem about us bragging about who cut down the biggest tree with just one swing ? I,m always gonna win ! I have developed a swing that actually breaks the sound barrier . My kukuuri is back in its sheath before the sound of the tree hitting the ground reaches your ears ! L:O:L.
