Are "vintage" microtechs particularly valuable?

I have the opportunity to get an older, used troodon with the 3 pin style screws. Would it be less or more valuable due to the age?
I couldn't find much discussion on it or even prices on old sold listings (a continual gripe I have about removing prices when I'm trying to price things to sell ha)

Only differences I see on those are guys taking a massive hit on em if they’re used, and asking ridiculous prices if they’re some kind of limited edition.

Newer vs. older production doesn’t seem to matter much. Just condition, box/papers, and if it’s some signature model or hellhound/warhound blade.

You didn't specify the model, but checking recent sold listings at Arizona Customs, I see that a 3-pin screw Troodon model 138-4, D/E, plain edges, satin blade, with a date of 05/2010, sold last February for $435.

Another 3-pin screw Troodon model 142-2, D/E, serrated, black blade, with a date of 04/2010, sold last October for $450.

Now if it were a 3-pin screw "Giant" Troodon, those are worth BIG bucks.

Good to know. Thank you.
