Hi, I'm Ashes. I just registered here and was wondering if there were "regulars" and if this place is pretty busy? I'd like to find somewhere where I can go to ask questions without feeling dumb... I'm new but I'm learning! :D

Welcome to the BEST site on the web for knife discussion, as well as, many other points of interest(guns, gadgets, flashlights, etc., etc..)

I'm sure that you will find the answers to your questions here. Regardless of what they may be. :D

BTW, I do make it a point to come here at least a couple times a day. ;) It's my favorite site on the web, hands down!!! :D :D :D
 
My favorite forum. Even got the shirt. Haven't been around as much the last couple weeks as I'm taking my puppy through abediance training which takes time each night and I've been researching both a new RC truck and a new real truck (got an RC10T3 and 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited in the same month! I'm a lucky man).

This place can be hard on your wallet, so be careful. I'd never considered a $300.00 pocket knife before coming here. Now it's too late for me, but you might be able to save yourself if you never come here again.

Wow, look at that! People responded to me! LOL...

I recently moved back to my hometown to help out with our "family business." I come from a LONG line of knife grinders! We have a sharpening and cutlery rental service and also a knife store, which is my area, so that's why I want to learn more. I've been doing my homework! :D

Oh, and I can buy wholesale, so I probably won't lose too much money here! ;)

Well, I can't keep myself out of these pages - no matter how hard I try...

But kind of we were kindred spirits:
You know, my family name is Tuhkanen - and the first part of it, Tuhka, means ash in English.
I took "tuhkis" to be my username (nickname, whatever...)
Maybe it wasn't the smartest move on earth, but I'm lazy and don't have enough drive changing it...
 
Ashes-- welcome aboard. I spend quite a bit of my online time here, and there are quite a few regulars, as well as a constant stream of new members. It's a great place to learn about knives.

I haven't been around as long as a lot of these guys, but I have been here every day (and several times a day) since I registered. This is a terrific source of information with a lot of great people. Hope you stay awhile...:D

I've got almost 2000 posts (always yapping about something). A couple of them were probably even meaningful!
What/where is your store? I don't think just naming it would be considered advertising-gotta pay for dealer's memberships, though.
You might get to meet some folks from here, or even know someone...
 
I'm fairly new to BF myself and so far this place has been great for all types of information.

The search function covers just about everything I've ever wanted to know. I've been a regular for the past few months.

I'm new here too....just joined almost a month now. Its great because you can search and find knifes for info and research. Also, something you didn't can pop up and catch your interest.

I just about live here, of all the forums and bulletin boards out there, this is the place I always return to.

I think if your a true knut we'll be seein' alot more of you around here.

Our business is called Rendena Services, Inc. and the store is simply "The Knife Shop." I started a website, with our basic info on there. It's www.rendenaservices.org . No, I'm not trying to get any free advertising! I don't really expect non-local customers anyway.

Anyone else here work in a knife store???
 
Run Ashes, run as fast as you can. If not you are soon going to find your house being taken over by shiny, sharp things. You won't even realize that it is happening until it's too late.
