Just wanted to get some feedback from anyone that owns and uses the Izula 2. I've seen some good reviews but looking for some more opinions.
Also when do you find yourself using this specific knife?

The Izula is the best fixed blade I ever bought, Its real tough good backup tool for camp or other uses but I love it.

Tested it on a 2x4 chops like a machine!

I'd definitely recommend you buy one for yourself

Its a well made knife, I never used it. The esee3 was far more handy and useful to me. In the size of the izula blades I just tend to use a folder for those tasks much more. Where the esee3 was a very handy size for camp chores and skinning animals.

First allow me to say that it is a ultra-cool blade and there's a huge Izula following because of it being so nice. With that out of the way...

Its a well made knife, I never used it.

This is pretty much how I felt. I started carrying the Izula thinking I wanted to carry a small fixed blade in lieu of a folder. It didn't take me long to decide that I prefer folders for *my* everyday tasks. I took it camping and did some yard work, but I kept wanting a little more edge and something with a little more handle. So, I sold it and bought a 3.4" fixed blade for those days I need something more substantial. YMMV

When someone is looking for a small fixed blade, though, the Izula is always one of my top recommendations - it just wasn't for me, at least not at this stage. Again, I speak for me - YMMV

I put g10 scales on mine, and I love it. Im going to carry it deer hunting as a backup along with a buck 110, no need for anything larger in the woods.

I have one, thinking of putting it on the exchange. I agree with Stinky and Cricket (that has a ring to it, eh?), it's a well made knife but I find I just don't have much need for one in that size. I'll go with a folder if I need blade length of 3" or less. After that, it's FB territory.
