cs actually has a patent for their opening system, and apparantly it does not infringe on ernies patent.

they claim the system is actually very old and even ernies is not the first of its kind.

i have no idea, but cs always seems to be at the center of these types of situations.

i am quickly getting to the point were i wouldnt have anything marketed by cold steel.

never have liked there folders, used to think some of the FBs werent bad for the $$ but the antics that LT pulls are beginning to outweigh any advantage the FBs would have in that regard.

That is why I am so vocal in my dislike of Cold Steel! When it comes to the "wave", it's Emerson all the way (the only way) for me!

there is more to emerson knives than the knives themselves. ernie is a genuine great guy. i cant say this enough, but meet the man and you will understand. he does more for the community in socal than most know.

i am not aware of any attacks on eki like cold steel has done with strider, but again, when one person is at the center of so much controversy, there is a good chance they are instigating much of it.
 
oh ya shoulda seen some of the attacks on EKI about faulty liner locks a few yrs ago - ya woulda thought every single EKI ever made had liner issues.

CS and strider both probably love all the free pub, ya know the saying "any pub is good pub".
 
I hate CS. I posted the CS Strider rip off thread in The good, Bad and ugly. Vaako is saying that Strider ripped off Emerson with the american tanto profile, but that a nother story. CS are rip off artists and cons. They rip the ''wave'' on multiple knives. They put G10 on aus6 and charge hundreds. I'd love to see Ernie and lynn in a cage match. Ernie would tear him a new one.
 
I'd be the first to jump on someone for ripping off Emerson designes, because Emersons are my #1 knives. But i'mnot sure strider ripped the ''american tanto'' from emerson. Ripping a general blade shape is one thing, like a bowie or clip point, But completly cloneing a knife is another
