Scenario 1: you're reading a bladeforums thread on your iPhone. You shrink the page and go surfing another site. Are you still listed as a "user currently browsing this thread" while you're gone?

Scenario 2: you're reading a bladeforums thread on your iPhone. You turn off your iPhone. Are you still listed as a "user currently browsing this thread" while you're gone?

You're never too old for ADD.

If you know someone with a computer and Internet access, it would be easy enough to find out, assuming you actually care.

Thanks Y,
Here's a little science...
From a logged-out, cookies-cleared different computer, I discovered this:

If you're on a thread and shrink a BF page on your iPhone and continue browsing elsewhere on a new page, you still show up as a "user currently browsing this thread" to the rest of the world.

If you're on a thread and you turn off your iPhone and put it in your pocket, without signing out of BF, you still continue to show up as a "user currently browsing this thread" to the rest of the world.

If you sign out of BF on your iPhone, then you're finally removed as a "user currently browsing this thread" to the rest of the world.

The "users browsing this thread" list is a list of users who have loaded (opened or refreshed) the page in the last 15 minutes. That's all it is. The forum software doesn't get informed if you turn off your phone, go to other windows, drop your phone in the ocean, whatever -- all the forum software knows is how long it's been since you loaded the page, and if it's been less than 15 minutes you're on the list.
