When someone needs to cut something the wife says, "Yeah, my hubby always has a knife I'll go get him".

Someone needs a flashl light, you got it.
Need a pliers, can opener...ect you got it.

Yeah, I'm that guy that always has a pocket full of blades and tools and often that's how people know me. :D

One of the neighbors little boys refers to me as "the knife guy" and my daughter (5 year old) seems to tell everyone "My daddy has a knife in his pocket" which gets some looks sometimes.

I'm also that guy that stands in front of the knife case at the store and stares (seemingly) for ever before getting dragged away from it like a little kid by my wife.

I suspect most of us her are "that guy". :D:o:D

I'm the guy who says "No!!!" and they ask "why?". Then I respond with "because you used my dang knife as a screwdriver and prybar last time I lent it to you".

Yep. people don't even ask anymore...they just holed they're hand out. I've been known to slap them five and say no way. :)

I'm frequently asked for a knife, or more often than that, a Leatherman. Never been asked for a flashlight since I don't carry one, but I just bought an Olight M18 and am waiting for the batteries to arrive. Then i'll probably be the guy to ask for a light :o

In my circle of hippie/broke college friends, I'm that guy...sometimes. Most of the time I'm "Paul the Loveable Nutjob", with my unhealthy collection of knives and military books and all. However, whenever someone needs something cut or someones low on cash at the theater, it suddenly turns into "Paul the Rich Hero"

that's me. when my wife was in the hospital having our 3rd child, the ob/gyn wanted to see something and the lighting was bad. she mentored needing a flashlight. before she could send the nurse to fetch one, out comes my maglite xl100- any time anyone in my family needs something ( from a knife or a first aid kit to rope or duct tape) they always come to me first. they give me a lot of cereal about it but they always come to me

I probably use my Leatherman Wingman at least as much as my Delica.

That pliers comes in hand a lot, as do the driver bits and scissors.

Yup though I need to nip it in the bud. My wife goes a step beyond and offers to loan out my knife to people. It's a little awkward to then tell them I don't loan out my knives. Whatayagonnado...:D

Madness... It's like you intentionally wrote that about the dude my wife is married to... Scary...

:emot-yarr:

Yup, I'm that guy too. I ran out of pocket space and am now carring a maxpedition versipack. Knives, gun, lights, bugspray, first aid, epi pen (not for me but i thoght someone may need it one day), multi tool, battieries...yada yada yada.

Im the guy who never lets anyone touch my knives.

You need something cut? Ill cut it for you.

My family has decided that if they could take one thing with them to survive on a deserted island, it would be me since I'd probably have everything else on me. :p
