Are ZT 0301/0302 Tiger Stripes Evolving?

They say you can't change a tiger's stripes. I have noticed, however, that the tiger stripes on the Zero Tolerance 0301 and 0302 blades can, and apparently do, change.

As seen at ZT's web site, the 0301 has random stripe patterns, which I think I prefer. (http://www.kershawknives.com/productdetails.php?id=10)

At this retailer's web site, the 0301 has more or less orderly, forward-pointing stripes. There's also quite a bit more light gray than black on this blade, which I don't like. I've seen other examples with considerably more black than gray. (http://www.newgraham.com/detail.aspx?ID=7867)

I have no idea when any of these kinves were made. Is the tiger stripe pattern evolving over time to a specific, consistent look; or are the stripes on these knives more or less random?

If I order one of these online, there's no way to see exactly what I'm getting before it arrives, and I do have a preference for a certain look. If I buy it at the only store in town that sells this line, they'll have to special order it for me, so once again I won't be able to see what I'm getting until I've got it.

No, I didn't see that thread until just now.

That's what I want. A 0300 without tiger stripes. While I really like the black G-10 handle, I still like the dark green G-10 of the 0301 along with the dark gray titanium on the other side.

Is ZT/Kershaw regularly making this all black 0300? If not, and if some retailer didn't special order a quantity of these, then how did it come to be all black? If this is a third-party modification, I wouldn't buy one. (I assume some retailer is not selling this knife in any appreciable quantity, since a poster from the thread above said that it could be found on eBay.)

What's the deal?
