Are ZT's Serial Numbered?

I noticed on my ZT0400 that there is "1228" on the blade right above the steel designation.

Is it something other than a serial number? It isnt near the model number or the Born On date...

For some reason, the T.A.D. Gear Special Edition ZT0300-series knives are not serial numberered...
