Has anyone here tried one? It looks pretty awesome. A really neat bit of sharpening gear its got an 800 grit diamond hone a carbide "steel" and a strop all in a slick simple belt. Would love to hear what other knife nuts have to say about it.

Argali. Looks like the diamond plate would ruin the finish on pants fasteners. Seems like a gimmick to me.

Looks neat but I have never once thought "my sharpening equipment would be made more convenient to use by putting it on a belt" nor "my belt would be better if it had abrasives on it." If I had one I expect I'd find myself thinking "I sure wish my sharpening equipment and belt weren't a combined item."

I'm thinking the belt I wear to work every day is nothing but one nice long 'vegetable tanned leather strop'. And, it's got a smooth side and a rough side. If I start carrying a small piece of green compound, or maybe some diamond spray, I'd be ready to touch up edges wherever I am.

But think of the marketing possibilities! Keep the belt on while sharpening, and it could also be an exercise device-shimmy those hips to sharpen your blade and watch those excess pounds get ground off too! A little gauze and clotting compound on the tail end and it's also a tourniquet and medical device, just in case your shimmy gets a bit too vigorous. What can't it do?
