Argh, wire edge!

I just finished reprofiling my Sebenza (which, BTW, is a complete pain 'cause it takes so damn long) and now I can't seem to get rid of the wire edge that's on there.

I've tried using very light strokes on the gray and white stones (corners and flats) and stropping on carboard, but it still won't go away. I don't have a leather strop or any compound except for some red stuff that came with my Dremel, but that's way too rough.

Any ideas as to what might work?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Take your coarsest hone, increase the angle, useing the shrpmaker? tilt the knife away from the hone. Do one stroke on one side then do one on the other repete until the burr is gone. Then use your finer hone doing the same thing until you get the polish you want.
Ooops with the finer hone don't increase the angle use the same one you did the first sharpening with.

I am with db.
The easy way to get rid of the burr or wire edge is to cut it off.
With the Edge pro , I set the angle to 2° great then the angle I used to create the burr in the first place. One very gentle stroke on each side of the blade usually does it.
