I ordered a second Sebenza over the weekend. Was supposed to arrive yesterday but never did so I check USPS this morning. It still has expected delivery of yesterday but has an alert saying my package was forwarded. Have no idea what this means. Forwarded to different address? USPS 'customer service' line is all automated and there is no human to speak with.

Expected Delivery Day: Thursday, January 20, 2016
Your item was forwarded to a different address at 6:30 am on January 21, 2016 in XXXXXXXXXX. This was because of forwarding instructions or because the address or ZIP Code on the label was incorrect.

I can only wait until the knife shop I ordered from opens up and call them to see if they can help. But my receipt has my correct address and Zip. Hopefully this is just a typical USPS screw-up and they didn't actually deliver it to another address. If they did, someone got a really nice surprise.

The address and/or zip code on the package was incorrect and the USPS caught it, or the seller had it forwarded to a different/correct address.

I just called Plaza Cutlery and they emailed me the shipping label. Has correct info and Zip. Looks like USPS screwed something up. Hopefully it doesn't end up in Alaska.

They said they usually don't recommend USPS for this reason as sometimes they really screw things up with packages and they end up who knows where. I just chose this option as it was a lot cheaper than UPS. Probably won't do that again. He told me of an example where a knife was shipped local and it took two weeks to get there as it got rerouted to Spain or something.

They can sometimes take some unusual paths, but they usually get there.
That is for sure. I live in SE North Dakota. Ordered something from Minnesota. Usps routed it to florida then to illinois back to minnesota and finally made it to ND....for reasons unbeknownst to me or anyone.

You can't do much but wait really as USPS has no customer service line that isn't automated when it comes to package issues. You have to go to a post office. When you do that, they just are able to read to you what you already saw in the tracking update. The Package exists in limbo, probably the same place that socks go to when they mysteriously disappear from the dryer. :)

Had the same experience myself, It eventually arrived. All my shipments require signature though. So that USPS cannot just leave it at the door and says delivered.

Some sneaky fellow might just swipe that package up...

USPS can be great, or they can suck. I've had my fair share of both. I bought a Sebenza on here on Saturday night. Seller couldn't ship until Tuesday from WY. I was shocked to have it in my mailbox today.

There are time where I get things shipped to me from the same state I live in and it takes longer.

This is why I ship via UPS. Never an issue.

Tracking changed when I checked it a short while ago. The latest entry says it left a local facility at 12:36 and is now at a UPS facility in a bordering state. Should be interesting to watch it travel to wherever its going and hopefully eventually make its way back.

I have had so much trouble over the years with the Postal Service. I can say that more often than not my packages tend to take a weird pass, but as of recently, they seem to always make it to the final destination here with me. I would say wait another day, possibly two, and see what happens.

USPS has been extremely slow since before Christmas. The last sebenzas I ordered were delivered 11 days after the due date. So the 3 day priority mail took 15 days and this was 15 business days, not counting the weekends. Was a measure in patients for sure.... Lol

Having similar issues with a trade. The sebenza coming to me hasn't been updated since it left the initial post office. The knife I am shipping hasn't updated at all in 2 days! I would expect this from first class but not priority...

I would blame the winter storms etc but I am in Georgia and the guy I'm trading with is in Florida lol, hoping they get it together.
