made a couple of neckers with armadillo scales for the handles. These were caught and cut in FL. These have been stabilized. The cost of these, I feel, are a bit pricy, but they are cool. As all animal parts, it stunk like hell when sanded. I have coated this with super glue and tried to "force" the glue in the scales.

The cool thing about Armadillo is theres so many different scale patterns on their
hide, some lokks like ray skin, busted fingernails or T-REx. Last time I talked to
Dewayne Batten he had every color in the rainbow.
Ken.

yep, there were a lot of "scale styles" in his box. I got these at Blade last year. They seem to be more suited for neckers or folder scales. he had some examples of work he has done with em. very nice.

The ones I got were on the larger size (even though what he had at Blade were all the same price). I was able to do both knives with one set.

I like the effect, and the roach belly "attitude" of the blade profiles. Lots of character in those scales.
