Hey guys looking for some info on the Boker Plus Armed Forces Folding Tantos. What’s the overall quality like? I’m assuming it’s a liner lock? Also can the top guard be used to “wave” the knife open upon drawing from the pocket?

Thanks

ok 2 things... Its a boker, so the quality will be there. 2 Its a Tanto get a good clip point or drop point, if available.

I know the general consensus on Boker knives is that they’re great quality for there inexpensive prices, but I was curious what someone, who owned this specific knife, though of it.
I wanted to try a tanto point, not interested in another clip or drop (not available on this knife anyways I believe).

So again, what’s the quality (of this specific knife) like? Is it a liner lock? And can the top guard be used to “wave” the knife open upon drawing from the pocket?

Thanks again.

Huh… looks like nobody owns one of these knives. Guess I’ll just figure it out for myself if I decide to buy one.

Thanks anyways.

Shooter---I read a very positive review on this folder. Ask your question on the Boker forum. You'll get more hits.

It's not a bad knife. It's a liner lock, & yes, you can use the flipper on it to wave the knife open. Obviously, you have to more conscious about it, as it's not a hook. The only thing I didn't like about the knife, was that I thought the liner lock release was recessed to far back. I had a tough time closing the knife one handed with my left thumb. I do have large thumbs (& hands, for that matter), but I never had a problem unlocking a knife like I did with this one.

Other than that, it felt good in the hand. The notches cut in the handle are a little rough/sharp, but that's not necessarily a bad thing as it helped in gripping the knife.

Hope that helps.

I did a short review of this knife for the Wilderness & Survival forum on here. You should be able to find it pretty easy. I thought it was a great knife for the amount of cheese. I like mine a lot.

Thanks again for the replies.

Dylside, I already caught your review over in the Wilderness subform; thanks for the link though:thumbup: Good review by the way:thumbup:
