I recently had a crocadile neck sheath made for my hack bear cub by armorall leather. They did an amazing job and were a pleasure to work with. They really went out of their way to make it to my specifications.
I wanted something I could wear as a neck sheath and possibly put it on a key ring. They even added a magnet to keep it extra secure.
I recommend them for custom leather work!
Thanks Stacy and Dwayne ! 2CA20DF6-EFFC-4904-BE07-96FC6F9A7438.jpeg E48CB607-0DB4-4214-B42F-6BD3FB2714BB.jpeg

Good looking sheath, Congrats. While I do like leather sheaths and they have their place, I tend to like kydex for a neck sheath as I think about falling and having a knife go through the sheath and getting hurt. I've had a sharp knife go through a leather sheath like butter and got cut myself so I tend to go with kydex for the wilderness adventures.

Great looking sheath !!!!!! Yup Dwayne is the man !!!!!! Makes some amazing leather ! :-)

Thanks guys! :D I am loving this new stitching thread! Seeing that AK sheath in the other thread made me remember using that super heavy stuff, yuk!

BTW, forgot to tell you, that is my old school makers mark, the standard stamp wouldn't fit that tiny sheath. Talk about bringing back memories.

What's the stuff you're using now?

I'm using both Ritza Tiger thread for color, and a new improved version of their "sewing awl" thread in black and natural. The awl thread has a tighter wind, smaller gauge, and is hard on the hands but it lays so much better on the sheath. The tiger thread is a joy, a pricey joy, to work with but I love the look of the woven thread on the sheath. Both types cost a bit more, but the quality of the work they produce is well worth it.
That thicker thread just refused to lay right and was seriously over waxed. I remember unstitching a sheath once finding a wad of wax inside, it had scraped off the thread.

I love the Ritza tiger thread, I mostly use 1.0 and 1.2 by hand. It is a bit pricey your right on that.
