First and foremost...
To Armoralleather, I send my deepest apologies.
I promised this 6 months ago and then life threw my a curve.
Dwayne and Stacy are some awesome people.
They are artist and craftsmen of the best kind.

Dwayne is something of a perfectionist. I asked him to make a drop-leg piggyback sheath, at first he didnt know how it would workout. He told me that! He wanted me to know the difficulties and he was completely honest. I insisted that both knives be verticle. The knives selected are the RC5 and the Izula. (Special thanks to TwoWolvesOutdoors who sent him the knives so I didnt have to send mine to him.)
He continued spending time to see if he could design what I wanted even though I said to forget it and just make a sheath for the RC5.
It was the challenge at this point!
Well he did it, he sent me photos and I loved it.
I asked him to continue.
When I received the sheath I thought it was perfect.
When I started using it I found out that it was FAR BETTER than I had realized. Dwayne must be a genius!

The sheath stays right against my leg. Held there by a Maxpediation leg strap (provided by Armoralleather) the lower strap is the original that came with the Eagle sheath.

Unsnapping alows either knife to be drawn.
The retention strap secures both knives. (more on that later)

The sheath incorporates two rings, that was my idea, but Dwayne made it work! This makes it super flexible. This gives me 4 ways to hang it from my belt. A traditional high ride, low ride, dangler (one ring used), swat style drop-leg (pictured). It can also easily be strapped to a shoulder strap.

From this view you can see Dwayne's genius in the retention strap.
The strap securely holds the RC5, but the Izula cannot be drawn unless the strap is unsnapped. The Izula is held flat against the sheath which is even with the micarta of the RC5.

The knives... awesome, the perfect combo in my opinion.
Funny thing is with the offerings from ESEE there are a lot of perfect combos! :D

I cant say enough about the customer service at Armoralleather.
I was always aware of where my sheath was at.
Stacy kept me informed of everything.
This was my first experience in ordering a custom sheath like this and I was amazed at what they did and the cost was a great factor in my pleasure of purchasing from Armoralleather.

Wow Nice rig. I would like to get something like that one of these days. looks like you've got the be all end all of sheaths there. It looks heavy though, is it?

No not really but then again the RC5 is a bit heavy!
The sheath alone isnt noticable, but with the knives in place you know its there.
I dont know how you couldnt notice the RC5.

Oh, absolutely anything 1/4" thick will have some heft. just wasnt sure how much all that leather would add to it.

A radical clever sheath as much as radical as the RC5 and clever as the Izula.
Gorgeous craftmanship !

Very nice pics and sheath. Looks like that there's a new knife sheriff in town. Watch out!

You have a whole cow hanging from your belt!! That thing is huge!

It's a beautiful sheath, really genius design made to be simple to use. That shows a lot of skill went into the design and crafting of this piece.

Gorgeous! Dwayne is a true craftsman... or is he an artist. I don't know. Very nice sheath... Congrats! Thanks for the pics.

Thanks everyone! :)

And thanks Necrodamus for the wonderful review! I dont get too see much in the way of feedback, this was very nice. :D

That is awesome! Did you consider canting the izula back so you don't have to unsnap to use it? This is a set up I'd consider. (Gotta buy the knives first....don't tell my GF)

Wow, what a fantastic rig!

Leatherman: Is your maker's mark a Frisian bindrune, or Elder Futhark?

Thank you! :) My mark is a bindrune, as I discovered after I constructed it. When I designed it I had no idea what a bindrune was. I've been a fan of runes for many years so I wanted to make my mark based on them. A friend told me it was a bindrune, I said "bind-what?"

I dont remember what the total meaning is, its been a while, do you know?

That is the design that I had tried to talk him into. :D

I have a few of Letherman's sheaths and IMO they are some of the best leather work out there. The thickness is needed with most of the knives that he makes them for.I would hate to think I had to trust two thin pieces of leather slapped together to hold a 100.00 to 500.00 .25 or .32 in thick hunk of steel.
Here is a sweet one he did for my Busse SFNO LE.

It looks like a bindrune of Elder Futhark Dagaz, Isaz and Wunjo, which separately mean "day", "ice" and "joy". Combined, they can mean a lot of things, usually determined by the one making the rune.

Thats a sweet set-up and it looks very non-threatening,so it shouldn't really frighten the sheeple or draw the wrong sort of attention. The craftsmanship is really evident.
