My little story......well not so little :)

I work for a armored truck company and have worked there for several years now. It was a average Tuesday afternoon when a lady driving a black honda decided to run a red light. This forced me to lock up the brakes on this fully loaded armored truck. The black honda was hit in the passenger rear side forcing it out of my way. This is where things got interesting, the collision rendered the steering useless.
The truck was headed north when it took a sharp right and hit a curb causing it to flip end over end. We ended up coming to a stop after demolishing a beverage centers sign. The truck was now upside down, both the passenger and I were now on the ceiling of the truck crippled in pain. I was unconscious my partner landed on top of me so he was the first to get out. Thanks to some quick acting pedestrians when the truck caught fire it was quickly extinguished considering I was still inside.
I managed to free my self from the wreck and lived to tell about it, now for those that are curious even though both vehicles are totaled including the honda the lady driving it was ok. As for my partner and I we are sore as all hell but a ok. Just minor cuts and bruises, all three of us involved were very lucky!!

Now for the few photos I was able to take:

Good Lord! I wouldn't think that Hal Needham and a ton of TNT could make an armored truck like that flip over. :D Guess all it takes is a 6" curb.

Glad you're okay.

Must have been a heck of a ride. I'm glad everyone was "ok".

Wow, glad you're OK. That's amazing that a heavy vehicle (I assume) like that flipped.

22-25 tons I think that specific truck was, some will find this funny im sure this friday was my last day. The accident happened tuesday so I only had 3 days left of employment there. I can't help bit feel that was a sign to get out and get out NOW!!! Then I go to the hospital and they tell me how lucky I am to be alive with the severity of the accident. Not to mention they put me out of work for three days and informed me that I was not to drive for three days either. So here I sit on my droid x trolling the interwebz!!!

You left out the most important information.

What kind'a Busses ya got?

Funny you should ask, I brought in a Busse Batac to show a coworker!

She as well survived the wreck, just some dirt and oil on the tactical cardboard:)

Wow, I'm glad no one was hurt.

ps. Did you think you were being robbed when the car hit you?

I was thinking the same thing. This is very much like a plot from a movie. :D

I guess they didn't tell you that you are supposed to keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down.:p

All I can say is "Owwww", glad no one was seriously injured.

Some think AC's are immovable, not so...

Whoa man...glad to hear you and your partner made it without injury.

Im assuming your partner wasnt wearing his seatbelt, since he landed on top of you, correct? What about yourself? Ive seen some pretty nasty accidents, and the worst ones involve those who wasnt wearing their seatbelt...they get tossed around like ragdolls.

Now, what happened to the black Honda? Id like to see a pic of that after it met your 25 ton truck :D

As others have said, that is a heavy truck. Hard to believe it ended up on it's lid. Glad all are OK. Drive safely.

We saw an extended panel truck flipped over on the side of the highway. He hit a bicyclist and then ran into the metal guardrail. The bicyclist was in bad shape, the driver was sitting on the guardrail drunk.

The speed and weight of the vehicle does most of the work in flipping it over. It only needs a little something to turn it the wrong way.
