I inherited a knife with the name "Arnold" in a circle on the blade and a s/n of 88-003.

I would appreciate any help finding the maker and history of this knife. I cannot post pics, but it has a 4 inch blade, bone handle and single large brass rivet in the middle of the handle with 4 smaller ones on the corners of the handle

I'm from the Denver and Larimie Wy area.

Regards,
Dave

judging by the last name, it must be amazing!

Full time maker. First knife made in 1988.

Good luck!

I don't understand. Do you have some information that could help me?

Lorien's last name is Arnold. It was a joke.

I would speculate that it is a very early knife from him. The numbers may very well mean that it is the third knife he made in 1988.

Anyway, Coop gave you his e-mail address, so maybe if you send him a picture he can give you some more info about it. It will probably be hard for anyone here to say any more about it without seeing it.

Good luck!

Coop,
Joe Arnold from Ontario is not the maker....he was nice enough to to call me personally though. Thanks for your help.

Wow, that's very professional of him. From Canada, I'm not surprised. :)

No other maker with that last name was listed in any of the Annuals. Looks like your dad found a hobbiest maker and he's since fallen into obscurity. :(

Good luck! :)
