For me, half the fun of adding a new knife to my collection, is the anticapation of it's arrival, the opening of the package, the initial inspection/cleaning, and hopefully the joy of it being satisfactory to me.
Well, I was glad to have received two knives today from two different vendors, and I am happy with both :)

The first one shown here in this pic is another one of the Windlass Bowie knives (this one called a 'Double Star' for obvious reason)...

And in this picture is the Ontario AFSK (Air Force Survival Knife)...

Thanks, buddy! :)
I love it when one gets good bang for the buck. I believe both of these knives give us that. The AFSK is US made and has achieved an iconic status. Priced very well, especially considering those facts.
As for the miniatures, well, though made in Asia, and though low priced (imo)... they offer alot of attention to detail, and allows for pride of ownership.
I even like that they carefully place the Windlass name and PRC in smallish form on the blade. Instead of it just being stamped with the common "China" stamp, somehow the PRC marking looks a bit more classy (hard to explain why) :)

These are both value leaders, in my book :)
