Heya,

Just noticed there isn't much mentioned about Manufacturas Muela knives here so just wanted to show you a purchase I made today =)

It comes with a nice leather sheath and Micarta wood handles. Blade material is spanish 440.

The primary edge is hollow ground whereas the secondary edge is almost a flat grind.

Blade is 15cm in length, about the same as the BK7 pictured alongside =)

So far so good, nice and sharp and well balanced and the grip fits my hand much better than the Becker Crewman.

I got this knive a couple of years ago, It was the black coated version and I'm very happy with it. I haven't make hard use of it (not needed to do it by now) but it's sharp and tough, good for the price (I got it for about 40€ in Toledo).
Ther's another one of the same tactical series, the Hornet, pretty cool too.

Thanks =)

Updates~
I was testing the blade sharpness in relation to the Becker Crewman.
It cut paper quite well but the crewman did it better, so i decided to sharpen the Kendo.

I tried splitting wood with both knives as well. The Crewman does a better job at it because of the grind. The hollow ground kendo doesn't do as well.

But for smaller tasks the Kendo does well and I like the handles on it much better.

For serious usage and hard use, the crewman will still have its purpose =). But for general use and for good looks, I love the kendo.

I have a couple of Muelas, I like their hunting knives with nice wooden or stag handles. My only complaint is that they only offer hollow ground knives. For big or hard use knives I prefer flat grinds (or convex).

I have some Muela's also,not this one but it looks like a nice knife.
What is Spanish 440? :confused:
