Commercial broadheads are so boring. Has any one been making custom tips? I've tried all kinds, and styles, and matched different weights to the arrows and bows I use...and often thought how nice it would be to have some custom tips. Production lines are getting more creative, but....still rather ordinary. I still tend toward the simple Fred Bear Razorhead design..with insertable bleeders..something I can take apart and hone to a frightening edge.
The more "wild" designs are cool to look at, but are less effective with serrated blades and jagged edges that look "wicked" but only fill up with hair, hide, and tallow thus loosing CUTTING ability.
I'm hoping someone is developing more useful tips, and much more beautiful, unique, and a pride to use.

Its a fixed 2 blade Mangus for me. Best flying, best bone cutting, can't destroy head I"ve used.

People are so into the lastest whiz bang gizzmo they can find. When often the best working was the oldest plainest thing out there.

Old school. As the curent over used phase that applies.
