There is a huge international forging swap going on at the Custom Knife Directory. The iron in the hat forged arrowhead swap. Here's how it works. Each participant forges an arrowhead. On Nov 4th all the names will be picked from a hat and matched up with other participants and you exchange arrowheads. There will be Professional Bladesmiths throwing in their efforts along with first time forgers. For more information click on the link below. If you have never forged before there will be tutorials on forge building and basic bladesmithing. So if you ever wanted to learn how to forge there are no excuses left. Check it out. This is going to be a monsterous event. The biggest iron in the hat swap the world has ever seen. Don't miss out on it.

Tim, this is a great idea! I can't wait to start forging my arrowhead as soon as I finish my freon tank mini-forge in the next week or two. It will be my first forging project! The design wheels are spinning as we speak and I need to hit the library.-Guy Thomas

Thanks yall!
I want to stress to those who haven't signed up yet to do so because this might be the only one we have for a while like this. Don't miss out on it. You can start with scratch and learn basic bladesmithing for very little cash outlay for the forge and tools. Even if you don't want to persue bladesmithing the little forge that you build is very handy for making a quick punch or a chisel or whatever. By participating in this iron in the hat swap you will gain some very usable skills for around any shop. The whole idea behind this swap is to get a lot of new people involved and learning bladesmithing. The experienced smiths are chipping in to promote their craft. They aren't into it because they want a fancy arrowhead from some other experienced smith they're doing it to give back to the art and get newbies involved. The swap isn't a success without the participation of beginers. So don't worry about it, just jump in there and give it a try. It's only an arrowhead and you have 2 1/2 months to figure it out. http://www.customknifedirectory.com
