Turned 50 years on the odometer today. It has been quite a ride and I am not sure how I made it this far. Young people do stupid things...but you already knew that. My Dad passed on at age 42, so my fear for many years was making it that far. I am not sure what the future holds, but surely there is more fun and adventure to be had. My teen boys need me to be around another 10 years if possible. So now 60 years is the goal. Oh, and some more HI khuks, more guns, retirement and a Hayabusa, or something even faster.

Jeff

Congrats on the half-century milestone! A Hayabusa is way cooler than a mid-life Chrysler.

Happy, happy.

I only have 14 more days to be as cool as Jesus or Buddha. I don't think I'm going to make it.

Ah, the pressure!

Gosh, I'm glad you posted this thread. I'm 49 heading for fifty next April.

So, Spectre's comparing himself to Jesus at (33 ? soon?) and I'm wondering if I'm finally about to become an adult. Yep, this is Rusty's forum alright.

No, I'm moving to 34, and Buddhahood may be even further away than it once was

I'm 32 switching up in on Ground Hogs Day. I forgot about Jesus being 33 when he died. Thanks Spectre. I've heard you're stupid till you're 30. With me the date seems to have been extended.:D

Happy Birthday Jeff!! :)

You know where you should go for the big 5-O?

Hawaii (get it? if you do you're probably groaning right now)

Who else but me would post that one?:D :foot:

Oh yea, I forgot to say happy birthday!

Happy Birthday.

(ever have those moments when you realize your chronological age and wonder, "How'd THAT happen?")

(but I feel so much younger than I did 15 years ago! Really. Not much worse than feeling older than time and not having hit 20 yet...)

And I'll be 50 a couple of weeks before that! Sorry, I know I should be waxing philosophical and feel some accomplishment (?), but all I feel is depressed as hell at the prospect. What's this 50 stuff? I'm supposed to be 32 next March. ;)

Congrats, Jeff.

Only kids celebrate birthdays... I suffered a birthday in November.:(

At 43, I can clearly see 50. And 33 was only yesterday... John. :D

Happy birthday:D I'll be hitting the quarter century mark in february. What a happy birthday that will be. 18 and I was an adult. I could buy tobacco, get into most strip clubs, and could be called upon to do my duty for my country. At 21 I could buy alcohol, get into the rest of the strip clubs, and get into the casino. Exciting as 18 and 21 were, over the last 7 years I have learned an important lesson. The value of a dollar. FINALLY, 25 and I get break on my insurance rate! Not to mention I got married and am a home owner, an even bigger break PLUS better tax benefits;)

It has been a good day. Best wishes from friends here, a great dinner and drinks. Did I mention drinks? Wife and sons got me a couple Cabela's Chamois shirts and a new .45 semi-auto. Mum got me a bottle of scotch and a blanket. Guess you need a warm blanket and a stiff drink when you reach 50. :o I remember the 40th. Was deer hunting and got my deer early that day. Came home earlier than Wife expected an spoiled the surprise party. Black balloons....hmmm.

The .45 is for that expected future Zombie attack. Fall-back role to the HI khukuris.

Hoist a cold something with me and thanks guys.

Happy Birfday Jeff, and Many More!!!!  :D

Being 50 doesn't hurt a dayumed thing. The only problem with being 50 is that time kicks into overdrive and freewheels when you're going downhill. :( Stay Strong!!!!;) :p :D

Happy birthday Devo.

I admit to feeling a bit old when I turned 25 back at the end of October. I know most of the folks here will find that funny, but I couldn't help it. 25 is just one of those milestone years. I also wondered what 50 will be like for me.
