this weekend (well friday and saturday) i spent alot of time on the side of a mountain in northern vermont, with acclaimed artist and sculpture maker david bradshaw, i took him a fbm as a gift, and as you can see we are both wearin them as we created some interesting art....

Jerry, i would have to defer to david but from what i understand it is a 44 mag that was specialy made for him and presented to him, he said that it was shooting hand loaded 365 grain rounds ...... the casings for the revolver are about half an inch longer than normal..... he has won so many damned marksmanship comps and knows way to much about bullets....lol
 
365 grains, that's sounds too big for a .44 Magnum, 265 grains would be more reasonable.

It could be a .45 Long Colt or a .454 Casull.

I have a .475 Linebaugh that handles 400 grain hollow points real well. My palm doesn't do so well.
 
I'll bet that thing cracks the sound barrier with those loads.

Yup, that looks like Vt to me all right. I grew up in Burlington. I'd recognize those cloud covered hills anywhere.:D

That hurts my hand just thinking about shooting. I'll bet it cracks the sound barrier. I've stood next to .454's being shot and they rattle your skeleton. I can't even imagine that .475.
