Looking forward to attending this event this coming Saturday. Flying out to San Diego early on Friday and stating at the Omni.
This is my favorite knife show for so many reasons . . . the importance and history of the show itself stretching back more than three decades, the ability to see and handle some of the most amazing knives that I will see all year and to discuss them with many of the very finest knife makers in the world, the possibility of obtaining one or more of these special knives, the excitement of the drawings, the "class" of the event itself, the camaraderie and discussion with other collectors who appreciate this genre . . .
If it ever works out for you to attend one of these events, I highly recommend it. Even if you are not a fan of "art knives" I think you will be interested and perhaps fascinated by some of the creations that you will see exhibited, and the opportunity to meet some true knifemaking legends who rarely appear at other shows in this country.
I will use this thread to post a review of the show over the weekend, as I have done in the past. I am determined this time to take more pictures and notes and post a more complete review than in the past.
If any of the other posters here are planning to be there and are interested in meeting up for an adult beverage and maybe dinner on Friday, send me a PM.
