I know that some of you have some old advertisements for Busse Knives and there have been several articles written about the knives. I wanted to start a listing of the Magazines and Dates. Eventually I would like to find some of these floating around at shows or on Ebay.;):) Right now I'm just interested in what you've seen.

I know I have more but here is all I could find at this time.

Blade Magazine November 2000 ( has a picture of the NO and a small snipet about its intro at the Blade show)

Tactical Knives Jan. 2002 (an ad just inside the cover)

Tactical Knives March 2002 (an ad for the Killer B just inside the cover)

Anyone else have anything? :D
 
I have Tactical Knives, Spring 1995, with a review article by Bernard Barr on the original Steel Heart II, and ad for the Steel Heart II A2 steel, birds beak, etc, for $247.00, and a very cool cover picture of the Steel Heart II. Best of all, I also have the knife!
I would have already posted the cover if I could just figure out how to do it with my new scanner.
 
I have a special edition Magazine entitled "Fighting Knives", produced by a gun mag publisher in '98. It has a complete article on the BM and SH. The interleaf has a Busse Combat knives Ad, which is a Bar-Graph performance chart. Kinda boring. Team Busse has much better art-work nowadays.

I have a copy of Survival Guide/March 1998 with the article on the
Battle Mistress.I also have a copy of Fighting Knives/Nov.1993 w/ an
article on the Steath Hawk and a really cool ad for the Steel Heart 1
which I was told by Jerry was featured on a talk show that followed
David Letterman hosted by Greg Kinnear(sp?).

Sorry, forgot one-Fighting Knives Nov. 1994-Busse Steel Heart, pg.55-test of the ATS-34 Steelheart-after I read that I ordered mine-$189 ;)

I've got an ad from, I belive, the January '99 edition of Blade, which features the Basics. It's pretty cool!

I have the Tactical Knives, Spring 1995 issue. That article and all
the cool ads in SOF magazine got me interested in Busse. If it was tough enough for Dirt Darts, it had to be tough enough for me.;) I love the ad with the skeleton in the coffin with his Busse knives.:D

Have American Survival Guides from 6/95 (p.80)"Busse Knives for Survival", 7/96 (p.50) "Choosing the Right Survival Knife".

I know I saw an article on the Steel Heart in ASG at one point, but can't find it.

Oh man we all fell right in this one. Now Eric knows exactly to take some "midnight strolls" to find these :)

I used to run a small 1/6th page B&W ads in Blade and Knives Illustrated during the mid to late 1980's for the Argonne Assault. The ad lists the price of the AA at $685.00.

Gonna have to see if I can find a copy,

I'll send you my Mags, I have a re-print of the 'Coffin' ad, if you what that as well.

Seth, the old Coffin ad? Is that the one with the skeleton holding a steel heart? I've got a flyer with a coffin ad framed on my desk, but i don't know if it's a new one or the old one like in your mag.
