Artificial Sinew VS. Waxed Thread

Hi. I would like to know if sewing a leather sheath with artificial sinew will hold as long as the waxed thread, (I got the two from Tandy ) and look as nice as with the thread.

I use both frequently and either one seems to hold up as good as the other. Though the sinew is a bit of a bugger to work with as it wants to split and fray constantly.
 
Thank you leatherman. I will give a try to the "A.S." on a couple of pocket knife pouches I want to make.

I use both as well. The waxed thread I get from Three Rivers Archery, they use it to make bow strings. If it's good enough for that it will work on sheaths, comes in a BUNCH of colors as well. Moon.
 
I have heard that sinew works well. I don't use the sinew because I like the looks of the thread...
