Hello folks,

I was curious as to if anyone was at all familiar with this newish (I think) Chinese knife manufacturer called Artisan Cutlery? I've seen a couple vids on YouTube but can find very little info elsewhere. They offer high end materials at what strikes me as an incredibly low price, to the point that I'm somewhat confused (M390 and carbon fibre at ~170.00.) They seem strangely legit based on the stuff I have seen. If anyone would care to weigh in, I'd much appreciate it. I've been wanting to try out one of these talked about Chinese ball bearing flippers for a while, and they have a design that really strikes my eye.

From what I've seen, they are set to be a strong competitor in the flipper market. Funky designs, utilitarian designs, good quality, good price, and best of all big, small, and most designs are lefty friendly.

I haven't seen much aside from handling reviews, but I haven't seen negatives. They also look to have US customer service too.

Just went on their website, they have some wacky designs as well as some fairly normal stuff. If I'm being honest, I like the look of the framelock zumwalt in the mint green color

Cool designs, thanks op for bringing this brand to my attention. I wish they downsized the glass breaker on some of their models though.

Yes, Artisan Cutlery is a newer Chinese knife company.

They have some nice designs to choose from, depending on what you like in a knife.

I picked up their green G10/D2 blade Littoral modified/slightly bent back Wharncliffe blade.

It is a good knife, I haven't carried it to work though and really put it to use yet.

I was concerned that the rather square handle shape wouldn't work for me, but the finger grooves really work well.

I might have to get one of the carbon fiber/ S35VN versions later on.

They have a few other high-end Wharncliffe blades too..

None of the designs are for me, but its another best tech, we knives, etc company. They might stick around, who knows for how long. The rep that goes to all the knife shows seems like a really cool dude.

I'm not one for butterfly knives but they have a very unique prototype with a button that flips the blade out. Interesting mechanism.

I ordered 2 recently, the waistline and the zumwalt, both in G10. Using the zumwalt to cut my lunch right now. The waistline was opened yesterday and given a thorough cleaning as the action was a bit gritty, flips really nice now. Not bad for the price. The pivot design looks similar to the one on the CH 3504. Both knives being D2 on ceramic bearings and G10 at a reasonable price, is anybody aware of a connection between them?

Another Chinese brand barging in the growing market of flippers. Some (Classic, Virgin) look quite good. If this is your stuff, there might be a good surprise in it (quality / price wise), or not... I'm just longing for the Chinese to bring their traditional knives to the international market (like the Shi-Lin folder). Enjoy the Spyderco version (Bob Lum chinese folder), this one is available.

I have the shark Zumwalt and Tradition they are fairly well made, could use some internal milling as they are a bit heavy, the lock up on the shark liner lock is a bit too early but maybe it will break in. The action is nice they are us multi row bearings on the Ti models which is great at the price point. it will be interesting to see what happens with them as they have jumped in with so many models consumers may like the variety but it may also just be overwhelming and feel less special because of the sheer volume. If you just want a nicely functioning ti framelock they are a good choice.
