I was commissioned by a friend in the program to make him a glorified X-acto knife for sharpening his expensive drawing pencils. He's not a knife guy so he had no idea what a Kiridashi is but it was exactly what he wanted me to build. I tried to capture each step along the way.

Steel is .140" Aldo's 1084.

Is it just standard paint you used for this last part? I've really been digging that style of finish lately and was thinking about doing it to one of my knives.
