my grandmother gave me a giant box of apples. So I broke out the enduras and set to cutting!

I'd have used a Stretch myself for both the peeling and slicing, but nice work with the Endura. Great apples are the one and only thing I miss about living in upstate NY.

Thanks guys! Yeah we do have great apples up here in wny. I guess a guy my great uncle knows is converting his entire orchard to a vineyard. We also have great wines here lol. So he told them to just take as many as they possibly can. I still have alot left. I'll have to look for another recipe besides pie.
I like when people suggest I used other knives, I can show my wife that my collection isn't big enough ! Unfortunately I only have the two spydercos currently. I am doing a local trade for a native tomorrow, and looking to get a techno as my new edc asap. Although neither of those would have been better for this kitchen work.

Looks good, but now I realized I haven't had lunch. Thanks!

Good Luck getting something like that out of a box in the freezer aisle!!! (If they make a box that big!)

I told you I wanted pie.
You inspired me so no complaining about my thread jack. And who really wants me to start another apple pie thread?
I'm a northern New Yorker as well and am still an apple fan after spending a bunch of in my youth picking and selling apples.

Here's my Spyder-Pie that just came out of the oven. Used a lanyard bead to crimp the edges and even cut a Spyderhole in the crust to vent. Should I have gotten patent permission from Sal first? ;)

That missing half of pie went quick with three kids. There was vanilla ice cream as well.I have an insane amount of apples here lol we keep cooking down and going to start canning up some sauce. I think I'm going to do about 25 them into a big deep dish pan and do it cobbler style and hook the neighbors up.

That's a nice neighbor.
The only thing mine gives away is dog doo. :thumbdn:

bleedingfinger and Barman1,
Thanks for the apple pie pics!!! Damn I want some pie! Gonna use up the apples we have tonight and make a pie. Perfect time of year for it too.

On the express bus on my way home....stuck in NYC traffic trying to get over the 59th street bridge....Hungry as S $&T and I stumble upon mouth watering pies (and the enduras are lookers too)! The Torture! Great job slicin, dicin and bakin.
