im sure its been discussed before but i was thinking if you had to say what would you say was the most disappointing knife you had ever bought? Really interested to see which knife wins or loses depending on how you look at it.

Back in the 90's I mail ordered a Al Mar Applegate-Fairbarn dagger and was disappointed with the half tang and hilt made or very flimsy "zytel"? Although the knife was beautiful to look at with it's mirror polished blade it really wouldn't have been robust enough for combat. I later had it rehandled in exotic local hardwood, this was a big improvement.

Pretty much every gerber I've ever bought, I dont know why I kept picking them up for so long when I'd just end up giving them away to a friend or throwing them at some particle board until they broke. I'm happy to say I've grown out of that phase.

I had high hopes for this since I liked the Timberline design. Bought it on closeout from Camillus for a few dollars, and it was no bargain.

Apparently there were multiple production models with the same basic aesthetics, the good version... and this one. :barf:
