The Busse Assault Shaker will get a chance to work out at the 19th Annual Group Therapy Bar Chili Cook-Off on Saturday 10/15/05 in Columbia, SC. From opening boxes of bar swag to lifting hot pot lids. There may be some beer content in some frames...

Things take a nasty turn at the hands of an angry cowgirl.

Let's not forget the illustrious judging staff.

Judge Earl is out on a day pass to help us. I think his meds are wearing off though! (Don't let Earl handle the knife!!)

Cool Pics, mhawg!! Thanks for posting them - looks like you had a good time. :D

The AS may have been in better hands with Earl than that cowgirl. though! ;)

Great pics! I have to agree: The bartender is pretty cute and it looks like a wise, wise decision to keep any sharp objects out of the hands of Judge Earl!

I do miss the South...

I sometimes miss the people, but I don't miss the heat, humidity, or hurricanes. And there are no palmetto bugs in Idaho.

Rick - both my children were born in Charleston

I grew up in Florida... I, too, don't miss Palmetto bugs! I have a memory of being ten years old and waking up to the sound of loud crunching. Turn the light on... nothing. It begins again and, with the quick response from my flashlight, I caught a Palmetto bug eating a peppermint candy on my dresser... LOUDLY!

For those of you who don't know, Palmetto bugs look like cockroaches on steroids. Think: Heavy Ordinance Roach and you've about got it!

You folks obviously have not been around here in a while, the Palmetto bugs are one of the nicest things we have left. I can't wait to start missing Florida. :barf:

The other thing I don't miss is Fire Ants. Vicious little bastiches....

Rick - big fan of diazanon

Got em both here, way too many of each. Another thing about those nasty palmetto bugs, the big bastards FLY!!! Our first week here in San Antionio one of those monsters flew across the living room, the wife freaked and I thought we were being invaded! Over two inches long that thing was. Felt kinda giddy the rest of that night. :o
