As only a registered user are there any areas of the forum I cant access?

Yes, there are areas you can't access. Some can be accessed with any paying membership, but if you want to sell anything, you will need at least a Gold membership. You can post a thread in the Want to Buy section of the Exchange, and you will be able to read your thread, but without a Gold or Platinum membership (which lets you sell) you won't be able to read anyone else's WTB threads.
 
So is it correct to say all but the selling sections are available with any payed membership?
 
I’m not entirely sure what your asking. You can post “I’ll take it” and such in the selling forums you simply cant start knew threads, in other words you can not sell but your can buy.

There is also another private forum that only paid members can get into. Oh and the Mods have their own place but I’m sure its pretty boring.

Yes, thats what I'm saying. Selling requires Gold, getting into anything and viewing anything (minus Mod stuff) requires any paid membership.
 
How much do I need to pay Esav to see the mod stuff? :confused:

You can go anywhere on the forums, but you can't post in all sections (knifemaker for sale, for sale gadget and gear, etc).

Then there is a super secret Mod forum I'm working on picking the lock too. :D


Oh, and the other not quite so super secret forum that were aren't supposed to talk about, only hint at.

Well thats different then... You're saying I can read any forum paid or not. Thats what I was hoping. Above though, I'm gathering if you dont have at least a basic paid sub. there ARE some places you cant read.

I would recommend that you take $10 (the price of 3 and a bit gallons of gas) upgrade to the basic level of paying membership, then you can access that forum we don’t talk about but only allude to. If its worth it you can renew (or even upgrade higher) if you don’t then your hardly out anything.
 
I'm not opposed to spending the 10 bucks. I'm trying to ascertain what it gets me. If I pay and don't realize the differences afforded to me, what's the point? "A fool and his money are soon parted"

God knows I've "parted" with enough money on knives already. :D
 
Pay your money and take your chances:D You'll get your monies worth and your supporting this institution.
 
Membership buys you the option to search and get PMs. Well worth $10. Higher levels let you sell in certain forums, but you can read and buy as a registered user.

There is one forum you can't see without a membership.

As for the Mod forum, other than the 127 page "WTF is wrong with leatherman?" thread, it's pretty boring.;)
