ASH-1 in a Spec Ops sheath?

I ordered one of the ASH-1 and was curious if anyone has any experience with these fitting in a large Spec-ops sheath? I am about to order a couple for my MPK's and was curious if I could fit the ASH in it considering its width and all.
 
I'm going on a limb and saying from memory no chance. I'm pretty sure my Hell Razor doesn't even fit, and the ASH1 is even wider (edge to spine) than that.
 
Thats kinda what I figured...seems to me the ASH is a lot wider than any of my other blades.m Thanx,appreciate the input. Guess Ill be talking with Okuden soon
 
Chuddy Bear has an ASH1 now, and makes a great sheath if you want one.
This is just one style that he makes. If you like the Spec Ops, you might like his dangler or drop loop better, but the quality and workmanship is awesome.

If I still lived up north I would go leather but Im in south florida now and the humidity really wrecks the the leather and the blades in it in short order. I really love the look of leather though.
 
Large Spec Ops sheath does fit the HR, but as Mikeymoto said, the ASH is probably too tall...

Hey UDDwaine what's on the other side of that sheath?
 
My Mud Razor fits fine. The ASH1 is WAAY too fat, tho. As is a SFNO.

What'll make it worse is when the CG's come out with that uber-thickness they got. Forget it. It won't fly, even if it did now.
 
Oh well,worth asking.I need to pick up a few for some other blades just figured id ask if the ASH would go.Didnt think so. Who are the best custom sheathers in zydex/nylon?

Very little. I did have to take out the Kydex insert, heat it up and shape it a bit, but not that much. I had a MudWeiler that actually slid in without any modifications. I think it depends on the Kydex insert you get with the sheath. They are all a wee bit different...
 
My HR fits the large Spec Ops sheath. I just tried to slip my ASH-1 in the same sheath and it is too wide. The kydex insert could be removed, heated and reshaped to work though.
 
But it will fit if the zydex liner is custom molded? It wont cut open the sides of the nylon? I dont mind heat forming the zydex if necessary,so long as the nylon is wide enough.
 
you could try and fit the liner. i havent tried.

the hr and sfno are fairly snug, but both fit with the liner in its factory size.

the ash-1 is about 1.91" wide, the sfno 1.78" wide.

Dude....we've all been saying it, you're a wee bit different.....
 
Be carefull heating the insert from the Spec Ops, I tried to heat and form it, being one piece, the one I had shrunk.
 
That picture explains alot.Especially the comparison between the blade widths.Thanx alot. Ive wondered what the overall width was,now I know.
