I just finished a new sheath for my CG ASH-1. I am going to do a little decorating and coloring but I always like the look of unfinished leather. On this one I used Wicket and Craig leather and sewed with waxed linen. That linen is amazingly strong and should last forever. When I finish the sheath I will post more pics. Thanks for looking.

It is a few hours later. Here it is dyed with a crease on the restraining strap. More decorations to come, maybe....
I think I need to apply another coat or two of the brown dye to cover every spot.

and the stitching looks perfect!

Very nice looking sheath! I like the way how that retention snap is done

This is a classic! I love the lines and the way it is put together!! Nice work!!

Awesome sheath! I'm in the process of putting one together that has a very similar design to that, should be done in 2 weeks (Busse time):p

Nice work mfaster.

I know how difficult it is to mark and stitch accurate shapes from trying it on a couple of sheaths... but... your stitching looks flawless.

Good work. :)

Wow- solid work.:thumbup: I just received some leather tools from Tandy. Looking forward to try to make such a nice looking sheath myself! :) But for my Custom AD.

Thanks for all the kind words. It is funny. I almost discarded this sheath because I just could not get the design right. I had given upand was about to use ir for scrap when I decided to expose the talon hole and part of the choil. From there on it was smooth sailing. Thanks again, guys and gal. I really appreciate it when you guys like something I make.

At the top of the thread is the dyed sheath. I think I will do some tooling when I get the tools
