ASH-1 sheath: Spec-Ops

Another sheath that works is the 6 inch sheath from scrapyard, it worked great for my HOGASH. I use the specops for my LE.
 
My Skinny ASH-1 won't work with the Spec. Ops Inc. Survival Sheath. It is too wide...

Go to the thread at the bottom of Nordical Blacktails post and do as it shows... I've done this to a CG Ash1 and it fits PERFECT, also took a large one and fit a Fusion steel heart Heavy Heart into it..
I works, takes a little time, but will save you some bucks and give you a great sheath.
a skinny should be really easy to fit in when you've done the oven magic.
good luck.. Don't forget the THREE layers of duct tape and lots of Lubercation.. "dish washing liquid works great"
 
Thanks guys, those tutorials look really great. Will post some pics when they are done. The 'long-version' of the sheath seems the way to go.

Was told that Okuden (http://www.okuden.net/products/index.htm) can supply a replacement inner kydex if you have any really big problems with fit. But seems like the thick (0.32inch CG ASH-1's) models will fit using these techniques.
 
I use the 6.5" "combat master" sheath for my ASH-1

I just cut the spine off one side off the insert and it fits perfectly.:thumbup:
