ASH LE or FAT ASH

found a used ASH-1 in .22 thickness. I kinda had my sights set on a FAT ASH at .32 thickness. Would I see any "deficiency" in going with the .22 thickness ASH? Any limitations or am I nit picking?

Take the LE. It's one of the best allrounders out there. I prefer the balance of the LE a lot over the Fatty.

I say go with the Fatty --- it can do more and it can take more. Irregardless the LE will never fail you --- but the Fat ASH is truly a special and incredible knife. Just my 2 cents

Get the LE, it will slice better, and at .22 thickness will still hold up to anything you can throw at her

I have both and think the LE is a better all around knife. .220 is plenty thick unless you plant to baton wood with it and even then it would work.

Not unless you're going to chop a car apart. If you are, then grab the Big FAT ASH!!! :D

Ahh if only we could find the noss d-test of the skinny ash, it took more than any other knife of which I am aware. Buy the LE, and use it like a man. If by some miracle you break it, Busse will give you a free one or its equivalent.

LE is the way to go, for me at least.

I had a fat ASH, sold it. It was just too chunky for my tastes. Got a LE next and love it. Ordered a battle grade as soon as I found out the thickness was comparable to the LE and super excited for that as well.

I have all three thicknesses. ALL are great, but if you want the capabilities of a small sword - the thickest one...;-)
