Hi, the other day I took my ASH LE for some chopping at work. My family has a nursery so we always have things that need a good chopping. With my new Iphone I realized I am able to take pictures now. So this is the first time I have upload pictures from photebucket, so I will see how I do.

This is the ASH that I have slightly modified. I put a convex edge and changed a little bit of the grind. I have also sanded down the handles so the machine groves aren't so ridged, a little more like the hand sanded ones. I am hoping to do a little more. I just love the feel of the hand sanded ones on my SFNO LE.

The only thing was a little bit of pinky bit, but I have small hands and they tend to slip off the handles easily. So a little bit of pain for secure grip I will take any day. I still need to try the fusion handle.

I had the edge almost to a zero grind and had a little bit of edge roll. So when I was done I made the angle a little bit different and I think this will help.

yeh, luv the fact that ur LE got some character.... shes an ABuser. Thx for sharing pics man!

Bravao smc. The ASH1 LE is a beauty and its nice seeing that thoroughbred being ridden.

Congrats! I did the same to my handes.
The handles look great when oiled too... :)

Obviously...and a crappy chop as well. :o I did it for a giveaway contest a few years back...but since y'all think you're so smart ;), I'll give you both ten minutes from this post to post the correct number of actual & whole ASH-1LE's used to create that pic.

First one IN A SINGLE GUESS that gets it right wins a Busse shot glass...
10 minutes from this post...GO! GO! GO! (hint: NO ONE got it right during the the contest it was created for, and 27 isn't the right answer.)

Oh, my bad. I thought you meant how many in the picture total.

My guess then is 2, but I'm outside the 10 minutes now anyway.

It was a difficult task to guess and a real PITA to create this pic. I made it difficult on purpose as I was giving away a knife to the closest guess to the number of actual LEASH-1's in the pic as well as what serial numbers they were, which is why they are all hiding their numbers. :)

The answer is 11 LEASH-1's. It is a rather bad chop, LOL

Wow 11. That is WAY closer to 27 than I thought you would be. How many do you still have?
