I'm speculating that they are similar in overall length. Can anybody help me out with a picture? Thanks.

Here ya go. :)

Thanks Jaxx!

Cool, it's quite a bit bigger.. that's a good thing!!!!! I can't wait for the hefty CGs!!

Hey Jaxx, I think I like that green better than the black background you used to use! And it's apropos for the season...good on ya.

Goddang I'm glad I held out and got the ASH instead - That's just a damn fine chunk of steel.

For the season??? 0h, riiiight... Christmas... Here I was thinkin' that it reminded me of all the little rectangular pieces of paper that I USED to have layin' around... You know, off white colored with little blue & red threads embedded in it (now pink, yellow & blue too)... Had numbers printed on them... Black ink on one side green on the other... portraits of different dead presidents on the face of the paper... What was that stuff called again????:confused: ...Haven't seen any for awhile, LOL!

;)
:D
Thanxx!

Nice pic Jaxx - Thanks - I was wondering the same thing. ASH1 headed my way... OD/black micarta mags to match my BATAC :D

Thanks for the pic, Jaxx! Now how about a ASH1 in between a Batac and a SFNO? I've been wondering about how this bad boy stacks up.

These photos, of all eight California-legal 2007 SE knives, may also be helpful, to show how the ASH1 compares to other common Busse Combat knives:

Thanks Lunde! Those are some great images! Are those all yours?
I bow to your superior pork-fu.

So it looks like the ASH-1 is a smidge shorter than the SNFO. But not by much. And the ASH1 is a bit wider. Looking at them both side by side, they are very different knives.

Yep. I also have a 2007 SE Argonne Assault, but it is kept out-of-state. My favorite among these is the ASH1, which may also explain why I have two of them. Here are a couple snapshots of my fisrt one:

That is not an SFNO. It is a SOW (Santa's Outlaw Wicket) Variant, whose blade is not as wide as a true SFNO.

Oops. :foot: That's right. My faux pas. My experience with/ knowledge of the SFNO is woefully lacking, since I don't have one yet. Somebody should sell me one so I can learn up on it.

Nice scores, Lunde! I'm glad to hear that the ASH1 is your favorite among the '07 SE models. (I miss my ADSE!) I have been wondering which knife someone who had all of them would pick as their favorite. Lucky us that it happens to be be the current offering, and lucky me that I have 3 of them on the way!

And I'd like to mention that it is ridiculous that you can't have your AA in California. Yet one more reason why I'll never live in that state. Are you not allowed to even posess a knuckled knife in the state? Because the knuckles make them so darned lethal? Isn't this the state that brought us all of those Pauly Shore and Ernest movies? Which is the greater offense, I ask.
