Just now getting around to posting this pic. Thought the #1000 was kind of cool. Anyone else have #1000 on any LE?? What's the highest number anyone has on an LE??

Did you request that number or did you get it randomly?

Never seen 4 digits before...

Requested it...thought it would be cool to possibly have the first 4 digit number. I know the ASH1LE numbers are getting up there...but don't know if they've made it over 1000 yet. Anyone??

I got one numbered like this

E=mc2

I'm selling it to OP for $7,000.

What!!! Thought there were less than 400 ?
Prove it Skunker.... I don't believe they went that high......and no "photochop" chit.. ;)

I've got #480. However, they don't number according to how many they make, correct?

Yes, that is correct.
Not sure about the very early one's, but would think they skipped block's of numbers then as well.

I would think Skunk(or someone) requested the #1000.

all BS without pics!

Interesting... That is odd how Busse #s their LEs..

Your # 480 would go very well with my #23 ..
I'll be happy to take it off your hand if you ever get bored with it :)

I know there were two types of SHSJ LEs

3/16" saber grind w/ zero.convex edge &
1/4" full height grind w/ zero.convex edge

there are actually three. the two you mentioned with blackpaper and one I've seen with black micarta unless that was a photochop, but I have held and owned the two black papers

also somebody post skunks pic for all to see.

My computers Blood alcohol level is too low:D:thumbup:

The numbers on the LE's might mean something but it sure isn't the actual nuber sequence of the knives made. :D

Yes, there were SHSJ LEs with black canvas micarta.

Jerry offered this as an option because some people complained that the black paper micarta was too slippery in the hand. When the orig. orders were placed for the LE you could of requested the canvas instead.

The black paper is too nice to pass up though.

I just gave my #23 SHSJ LE its first beating in yesterday. I had no complaints with the paper scales..
